Where does PRP come from?

Some of your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate the growth-factor-rich platelets from the rest of the cells in your blood. What to Expect While in Our Program

While your injection is being prepared, a numbing cream will be applied to your scalp to keep you comfortable during the PRP injections. Your scalp may remain numb or tingle for a while after your PRP injections, but this is temporary and normal sensation should return shortly. It’s a minimally invasive procedure, and a short 30-45 minute in-office visit. There is no downtime following this procedure, with practically no restrictions.

Immediately following the procedure some patients report mild redness, swelling, or tenderness to the treated areas. These symptoms may last up to 48 hours.

Results differ for each patient, although you will be able to visually see results typically around 4 – 6 months after the first treatment and may continue to improve up to a full year following treatment. As PRP is not a permanent option for hair loss, maintenance treatments are highly recommended every 12 – 18 months.
